How to Upload Your Lab Results

The easiest way to upload your lab results is to ask AI Hyperintelligence to do it for you — attach your file, and it uploads and analyzes your results right there in the conversation. You can also upload a PDF yourself, enter your values manually, or have our team upload them for you.

Option 1: Ask AI Hyperintelligence

Let your built-in AI tool handle it. There's no form to fill out and no page to navigate to — you just ask.

1. Open AI Hyperintelligence in your SelfDecode account.
2. Type something like "upload these labs for me" and attach your lab result file.
3. AI Hyperintelligence reads your results, uploads them, and explains what they mean.

The advantage here isn't just speed. Because AI Hyperintelligence already knows your DNA and health data, you get your results and their context at the same time — and you can ask follow-up questions right away. Try "which of these should I pay close attention to?" or "how does this compare to my last test?"

Option 2: Upload a PDF yourself (free)

1. Log in to your SelfDecode account and go to the Input Labs page.
2. Scroll down and select the blue Browse button
3. Select your lab result document.
4. Confirm the document name and click Upload.
5. Wait a few minutes while the system reads your document using OCR (optical character recognition).
6. Review your results. Anything highlighted in red needs your attention, and you can edit dates on this page.
7. Click Analyze Markers.

You'll land on your Lab Results page, where you can generate a PDF of your results or click any marker name in blue to learn what it means.

Note: OCR saves you from typing everything in by hand, but it isn't always perfect. Take a moment to review what it pulled and fill in anything it missed.

Option 3: Enter your results manually (free)

Choose this if you'd rather type your values in directly, or if your document didn't scan cleanly.

1. Log in and go to the Input Labs page.
2. Select Input Results under "Input Labs Manually."
3. Enter the test date, then type in your marker values, selecting the correct marker from the dropdown menu.
4. Click Analyze Markers when you're done.

You'll be taken to your Lab Results page for the full analysis, which you can download as a PDF.

Option 4: Have SelfDecode upload your labs (paid service)

If your PDFs aren't reading correctly or you'd simply rather not do it yourself, our team can upload them for you.

1. Review our Lab Upload Service Requirements & Terms first.
2. Click Upload File under "Let us input your results for you"
3. Confirm the document names you want uploaded and select Proceed.
4. Confirm your order and agree to the charge.
5. Enter your payment details in the window that appears. Skip this step if we already have your payment method saved.
6. Watch for our email confirming your results are in. This usually takes a few hours, but allow up to one business day.

Important: If your lab results don't meet our requirements, you may not be eligible for a refund. Please check the specifications and rejection reasons before you upload.
