How to register prepaid DNA kits for clients (Pro Connect only)

This process is only required for Pro Connect users who placed a bulk order of pre-paid DNA kits via this specific flow. If you're not sure what type of kit you ordered, please email us.

Pro Tip: Keep a spreadsheet or document with each client's name, DNA kit barcode, and return tracking number. **

Please note that if you plan to create the account on the client's behalf, you will need some important information from them.

For this reason, it is best to have your client register their own kit, so they can provide the necessary information for their account. You can have client follow the instructions inside their kit box to easily create their own account


If you choose to create the client's account for them, please follow these instructions:

  1. Using a private or incognito browser, please visit selfdecode.com/app/register
  2. Enter the barcode on the sample collection tube and continue the registration form
  3. Enter the client's email address and create a unique, secure password for them

Next:

  1. Share the login email and password with your client
  2. Have your client login and complete their Intake Questionnaire
  3. Once their Questionnaire is complete, your client can follow these instructions for How to connect with your SelfDecode Professional

If you run into any issues with registering a kit, please email us.

If the kit is sent in without being registered, we have no way of knowing who the sample belongs to and your client will not get their results. 

*Please make note of the barcode on the sample tube and register their sample before or at the time of giving the kit to your client. If the sample is sent to our lab and the barcode is not recorded, we will have no way of identifying your clients' sample and they will need to purchase a new DNA kit. 

*Please make note of the return tracking number on the label you give that client. Our Customer Support team has no way to know which return label was used for each sample. In the event that there is a courier delay, the tracking number is very important in order for us to assist you.
