How to Share Your SelfDecode Results With Your Practitioner
Whether your healthcare provider uses SelfDecode or not, you have two easy ways to share your results.
Option 1: Share a PDF (Works With Any Practitioner)
If your practitioner does not use SelfDecode — or you simply prefer to send a copy — you can download and share your reports as PDFs.
Simply download a PDF of any reports you want to share according to the instructions here and send them to your practitioner.
If your practitioner wants a copy of your raw DNA data, you can download it as a .txt file according to the instructions here.
Option 2: Connect Directly Inside SelfDecode (If Your Practitioner Uses It)
If your practitioner already has a SelfDecode Pro account, you can securely share access to your data with them from within your account.
This allows them to:
- View your DNA results
- See uploaded lab results
- Review your Action Plan, Meal Plan, and more
- Add or update Action Plan items
They cannot access:
- Billing information
- Subscription details
- Payment methods
You remain in full control of your account at all times.
How to Connect with Your Practitioner
If You Have an Individual Plan
Individual Plan means you don't have a Family Plan. If you have a Family Plan, scroll down for your instructions below.
1. Hover over the stethoscope icon and select Connect with a professional:
2. A modal will appear, where you can enter the email address of the professional you are working with.
* Be sure to use the email address they use for their SelfDecode account! It may be different from the email you're used to contacting them at.
4. Agree to the terms.
Selecting this box provides SelfDecode with your explicit consent to share your data and personal information with the user whose email you entered.
5. Once you select Connect, your profile will be shared with your practitioner. They will get a notification next time they log into their account. They will be able to view your results from their SelfDecode account.
If You Have a Family Plan
- Select Pro next to the name of the member you wish to connect under Share With on your dashboard.
- Enter your practitioner's email address — it should be the one associated with their SelfDecode account.
- Read and agree to the consent statement, then click Share Profile.
- Your profile will be shared with your practitioner. They will get a notification next time they log into their account. They will be able to view your results from their SelfDecode account.
- The SelfDecode Pro will receive a request, which they need to approve, before you are connected.

- If your practitioner uses SelfDecode → Connect directly for full access.
