The APOE Gene and Alzheimer's Risk
The APOE-e4 variant is the strongest genetic factor for Alzheimer's disease. If you carry this variant, your predisposition to Alzheimer's disease is higher, regardless of your report score. Genetic models analyzing many variants (PRS models) usually don't account for high-impact variants like APOE-e4.
