Why do I have to pay for the Medical Reports?
In order to unlock the Medical Reports, you would need to purchase a consultation with one of our medical professionals. We are unable to make any exceptions. This is due to liability reasons.
That being said, we have offered some packages that included the Medical Reports and a consultation. If you aren't sure what your subscription includes, please contact support@selfdecode.com.
I am a medical professional. Can you unlock the Medical Reports for me?
We can definitely understand wanting to unlock the Medical Reports as a medical provider.
However, it is our policy that users with regular consumer accounts need to purchase a consultation with one of our medical professionals. This is due to regulatory reasons and we are unable to make any exceptions.
If you would like to access the Medical Reports without purchasing a consultation, our support team would be happy to go over the professional subscriptions we offer.
Are these reports considered a covered service under my health insurance benefits?
Our Medical Reports are not a covered service as we are a consumer DNA testing company. We do not work with insurance.
How long is the consultation?
The Medical Consultation is 15 minutes.
Where does the consultation take place?
It takes place over Zoom.
No-show/cancellation policy for the Medical Report Consultation?
Please email our staff at consults@selfdecode.com (mailto:consults@selfdecode.com) if you are running late, cannot make your appointment, or need to reschedule at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment.
If 24 hours notice is not given, a partial fee (50% of your consultation price) will be charged.
You may reschedule a session a maximum of twice. Attempting to reschedule a third time will result in a loss of the appointment.
A "no show" is someone who misses an appointment without canceling it at least 24 hours in advance.
- After 15 minutes, if you are not present at your appointment, you are considered a "no-show".
- The 1st "no show" instance prompts a reschedule of the appointment.
- The 2nd "no show" instance results in a loss of the visit with no full or partial refunds.
