60-Minute Genetics + Labs Consultation

This one-time, 60-minute session is ideal if you want dedicated time to review and clarify your results.

During this 1:1 consultation, you can:

  • Review your SelfDecode DNA Reports
  • Go over bloodwork results
  • Discuss recommendations, insights, and key findings
  • Ask targeted questions related to your health goals

This option is best for members who want focused guidance without an ongoing commitment.

Monthly Consultation Subscription

For ongoing, in-depth support, the Monthly Consultation Subscription offers a more comprehensive approach.

With this option, you'll:

  • Meet with a health coach for one hour each month
  • Focus on specific health concerns or areas of interest over time
  • Explore your genetic data alongside health history, labs, and progress
  • Receive continued guidance as your questions and priorities evolve

This is a great choice for members who want regular support and deeper, long-term insight.

Monthly Consultation Subscription FAQs

What if I'm already a SelfDecode member?

The Monthly Consultation Subscription will replace your current plan, and you'll still have access to all your current reports, data, and features. You may downgrade your plan at any time, at which point you'll return to your previous subscription level.

What is included with the Monthly Consultation plan?

The Monthly Consultation plan membership includes:

  • One hour-long virtual consultation session with your dedicated coach every month
  • Personalized plans to meet your health goals
  • Unlimited messaging and support
  • Check-ins with your coaching team
  • Full access to the SelfDecode platform
  • 1,500+ personalized genetic reports
  • 600+ personalized genetic blog posts
  • Searchable SNP and gene database of 200 million variants
  • Lab analyzer and tracker

What's not included in my monthly membership?

DNA, lab tests, supplements, and other health care services outside of what is specified above (such as urgent care, MRIs, or x-rays) are not included in the monthly membership plan.

How do I cancel my plan?

You have the option to cancel your plan completely or downgrade to an annual SelfDecode membership. Just reach out to us and request a cancellation. We will process one final monthly fee per your billing cycle after requesting cancellation, and you will have access to SelfDecode services through that billing period.

What does "unlimited messaging" mean?

You'll be able to send secure messages to your care team any time through the client portal. You should receive a response from your team within 72 hours, but usually sooner.

What if I'm waiting for my DNA results to come back?

While you wait on your DNA test results, your coach will go over other important factors that impact your health, such as lifestyle risks, recent lab test results, or family history. You'll also work on setting goals and preparing to understand your genetic test results.

What if I have an extensive health history to review?

Each month includes a one-hour consultation and up to one hour of health data material review by your coach. If you require a more extensive review of health data materials (bloodwork history, supplementation history, etc.), you may add Extra Consultation Analysis for an additional fee.

What conditions or symptoms are not eligible for the program?

Please seek immediate medical help if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • The "worst headache of my life"
  • A fever lasting 7–10 days
  • A fever with a stiff neck
  • A chronically elevated heartbeat of more than 100 beats per minute with palpitations
  • A respiratory rate less than 8 or greater than 30 with shortness of breath, feeling dizzy, or lightheaded
  • Blood pressure of 180/120 or higher
  • New seizure and/or loss of consciousness
  • New stroke
  • Blood in urine without having seen a specialist or emergency room visit
  • Acute signs of blood clots (swollen, painful, tight lower leg)
  • Acute infection that requires medical intervention (cellulitis, pneumonia, etc.)
  • Suicidality or suicide attempts
  • Anaphylaxis (severe, whole-body allergic reaction)
  • Coughing up blood with chest pain
  • Cancer diagnosis without care from an oncologist
  • New sensory, motor, speech, or vision deficits suggestive of an underlying neurological problem
  • Blood glucose level below 40 mg/dL or above 500 mg/dL without care from an endocrinologist

If you have experienced any of the above symptoms and desire a consultation, you will need to confirm you are seeing a medical professional who is managing that aspect of your health care.

Can we go over DNA reports from another company?

Yes, but please note that analyzing another company's genetic reports may include an additional fee. (This is not referring to whether you uploaded a DNA file from another service like 23andMe to SelfDecode. It's referring to reviewing the reports of another company.)

No-show and cancellation policy for Monthly Consultation

Please email our staff at consults@selfdecode.com if you are running late, cannot make your appointment, or need to reschedule at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment. If 24 hours notice is not given, a partial fee may be charged.

Members are allowed a total of two rescheduling requests during their enrollment in the program. If this limit is exceeded and a third rescheduling attempt is made, that particular appointment will be forfeited.

A "no-show" is someone who misses an appointment without canceling at least 24 hours in advance.

  • After 15 minutes, if you are not present at your appointment, you are considered a "no-show"
  • The first "no-show" instance prompts a reschedule of the appointment
  • The second "no-show" instance results in a loss of the visit with no full or partial refunds

Working with your healthcare provider

We encourage you to share your SelfDecode insights with your healthcare provider. Your primary care physician can help integrate your genetic insights into your overall healthcare plan.
