I can't find the lab units I need
If your lab result uses units that aren't in our list, you can convert your value to a unit we do support and enter it that way. The quickest way to do this is to ask AI Hyperintelligence, which can handle the conversion for you and explain the result.
Ask AI Hyperintelligence to convert it
Your AI health coach can do the math for you.
- Open AI Hyperintelligence in your SelfDecode account.
- Tell it what you have and what you need. For example: "My vitamin D result is 75 nmol/L but SelfDecode wants ng/mL — convert the value and add it for me"
Other ways to convert your value
- Use an online unit conversion tool. Search for your specific marker — for example, "glucose mmol/L to mg/dL" — since conversion factors are different for every marker.
- Contact the laboratory that ran your test. They can tell you the equivalent value in standard units, and many labs will provide it in both formats if you ask.
Why isn't my unit listed?
We support the most widely used units for each marker rather than every regional variant. If yours isn't listed, converting your value is the fastest way to get your results analyzed — it takes a minute and your analysis will be exactly the same.
What if the marker itself is missing?
If the marker doesn't appear in the dropdown at all, that marker won't be part of your analysis for the time being. Everything else in your panel will still be analyzed normally, so it's worth entering the rest.
You're welcome to email support@selfdecode.com and let us know which marker you'd like to see. We can't promise it'll be added, but we do track these requests and they help us decide what to prioritize.
Still stuck?
Email us at support@selfdecode.com with your lab report and the marker you're trying to enter, and we'll tell you the right way to record it.
