Do you Test for BRCA Mutations?

Our genotyping chip does analyze some variants in the BRCA gene, but most rare mutations linked to hereditary cancers are not found in this chip or in our reference panel. This means we can't determine their genotype directly or through imputation.

About Our BRCA Report

Due to the limitations of our genotyping chip and regulatory constraints, we do not offer a genetic risk score for BRCA. Our BRCA Report was released without a genetic risk model or a risk SNP table. The report does include a list of variants with their risk alleles, but not all of them are found in our database.

Important Disclaimer

The BRCA Report is not diagnostic for cancer or any other health conditions and cannot be used to make any medical decisions. If you're concerned about your risk of hereditary cancer, consider getting a specialized test at a reference laboratory.

Your healthcare provider can recommend appropriate genetic testing that may be more comprehensive for cancer risk assessment.
