Here’s your complete guide to ordering and registering DNA kits through your PromicsEdge (SelfDecode Pro) account — including the best options to streamline your workflow, reduce errors, and take full advantage of our bulk discounts. 👇

🔹 Option I – Order per Client

If you need a single kit for a specific client, you don’t order a kit separately. When you create a client, you have an option to send a DNA kit during checkout. In this case, we handle the registration for you.

How it works:

• The kit is shipped directly to your client’s address.
• It’s automatically registered to their profile — no action needed by you or the client ✅.

Downside:

• You pay a full price for each kit

🔹 Option II – Order Stored Kits

Prefer to pre-order kits and save money without dealing with physical inventory? You can order Stored DNA Kits. We’ll store your kits and ship them individually as you add new clients and choose “send a DNA test kit”.

Perks of Stored Kits:

• We register each kit automatically when you create a client profile — no action needed by you or the client ✅.
• You still save with bulk discounts — no storage, no stress.

This option is ideal for anyone who wants the benefits of bulk pricing without handling kits!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Important Note on Family Orders

If you’re sending multiple kits to one household (whether through single orders or stored kits), each kit is pre-registered to a specific person, as labeled on the package.

⚠️ If family members mix up kits during sampling, results will be incorrect — and a new kit will be required. What's more, sometimes we might not be able to identify the mix-up.

Here are some simple tricks to share with your family clients to avoid mix-ups:

• Have each member take a selfie holding their kit with a visible barcode
• Add sticky notes with names to each kit
• Open and sample one at a time

🔹 Option III – Ordering Kits to Your Office

This is the only option that requires manual registration! 🛑

How it works:

• Kits are delivered to your practice in bulk.
• You assign each kit to a client manually by matching the barcode in your dashboard when you create a client.

If you don’t assign a kit to your client at checkout, you can do it anytime from your dashboard:

• You control the distribution timeline

You can switch between stored kits and office delivery under your account preferences.

• If we ship the kit to your client — ✅ it’s already registered.
• If you hand out the kit from your office — 🛑 you must register it, either at checkout or from your dashboard.
• In either case — no action needed by your clients.

Note on Kit Instructions:

The instructions included in the DNA kit packaging mention registration — but these are meant for direct consumers. For the clients under your account, registration is handled either by us or by yourself. Clients can still follow the registration steps in the instructions, but this won’t affect the actual registration process.
