DNA Kit Ordering 101
Before your clients can receive their genetic reports, you’ll need to get DNA kits into their hands and registered to their profiles. This guide covers your two main options for ordering kits, along with best practices to avoid mix-ups.
Option I – Order per Client (Drop Shipping)
If you need a single kit for a specific client, you don’t order a kit separately. When you add a client, you have an option to send a DNA kit during checkout.
How it works:
- The kit is shipped directly to your client’s address.
- It’s automatically registered to their profile — no action needed by you or the client .
Option II – Ordering Kits to Your Office
This is the only option that requires manual DNA kit registration.
How to order kits to your office:
- On your Main Dashboard, click on "Order Bulk DNA kits"

- Make sure your preferences are set to office delivery

How it works:
- Kits are delivered to your practice in bulk.
- You register each kit to a client manually by entering the barcode when you create a client. Please see this article for DNA kit registration instructions.
Perks:
- Great for in-person visits or events
- You control the distribution timeline

A simple rule of thumb: The one who gives the kit, registers the kit.
- If we ship the kit to your client — it’s already registered.
- If you hand out the kit from your office — you must register it, either at checkout or from your dashboard.
- In either case — no action needed by your clients.
