How to Delete Your SelfDecode Account or Data

If you’d like to permanently delete your account or any of your associated data, please follow the steps below.

📨 Requesting Data Deletion

To request deletion, email support@selfdecode.com and specify:

• Whether you want to delete your entire account, or
• Only specific data (e.g., DNA file, lab results, assessments).

Our team will process the request and confirm once your data has been permanently removed.

🔒 Important Notes

• Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered, so we recommend downloading a copy before submitting your request.
• After your lab results are uploaded to SelfDecode, the lab destroys its encrypted copy — only SelfDecode retains your version.
• Data deletion from SelfDecode’s system is final and irreversible.
• ⚠️ Charges may apply if you delete your DNA file and later wish to re-upload it, due to data processing costs.
