Can you delete my data?

You can delete your account or specific data by contacting our support team. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

How to Request Data Deletion

Email support@selfdecode.com and let us know whether you want to delete:

  • Your entire account, or
  • Only specific data (e.g., DNA file, lab results, assessments)

Our team will process your request and confirm once your data has been permanently removed.

Important to Know Before You Delete

  • Download a copy first: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
  • Lab data: After your lab results are uploaded to SelfDecode, the lab destroys its encrypted copy—only SelfDecode retains your version.
  • Data deletion is permanent: This action is final and irreversible.
  • Re-upload costs: Charges may apply if you delete your DNA file and later wish to re-upload it, due to data processing costs.
