Good news—you don't need to refrigerate your DNA sample. Your cheek swab is very stable and stays in good condition for up to 15 years after collection. Just keep it in a dry, room-temperature spot until you're ready to mail it back.

  • No special storage equipment is needed.
  • Even though your sample is stable long-term, we recommend mailing it back as soon as you can so you get your results faster.
