Can I upload another DNA file while I wait for my SelfDecode results?

While your SelfDecode DNA test is still being processed, you won’t be able to upload a DNA file from another service.

Each SelfDecode account can only store one DNA file at a time. While your SelfDecode results are being generated, we need to keep that space reserved so your test data can be uploaded and processed without any issues. Uploading another DNA file during this time could interfere with the delivery of your SelfDecode results.

Results take 2-5 weeks from the time your sample is delivered to our lab. Once your SelfDecode DNA results are fully uploaded and available in your account, you’ll be notified via email.

What you can do while you wait

Even though your DNA results are still processing, there’s a lot you can do to get a head start and make the most of your account:

🧪 Upload Your Lab Work

You can upload blood tests, hormone panels, nutrient labs, and other health reports. This allows the platform to start integrating your lab data so it’s ready to connect with your genetic insights once your DNA results are available.

📝 Complete Your Questionnaires & Lifestyle Assessments

Filling out your health, lifestyle, and symptom questionnaires helps personalize your recommendations. The more information you provide upfront, the more tailored your results will be when your DNA data is added.

📊 Explore the Platform

You can browse available reports, learn how insights are generated, and get familiar with the dashboard so everything feels intuitive once your DNA results go live.

🎯 Set Health Goals

You can start defining your health priorities—such as energy, sleep, longevity, metabolic health, or nutrition—so your insights and recommendations are aligned with what matters most to you.

Why This Matters

Keeping your account clear for your incoming SelfDecode DNA file ensures:

  • A smooth and accurate upload of your test results
  • No delays or data conflicts
  • A better overall experience once your results are ready

We know waiting can be hard, but using this time to prepare your account can make your results far more valuable the moment they arrive.
