Your Recommendations can be easily accessed by selecting Recommendations from the navigation menu at the top of the screen.
Before you get started with recommendations, we suggest completing your client's intake forms — especially Conditions & Goals questionnaire — here!
Recommendations page
On your client's Recommendations page, you'll see your top suggestions, sorted by priority. Here's how it works:
- Recommendations that address more of their specific symptoms, conditions, and goals are ranked higher.
- Recommendations targeting their high-risk factors with significant impact on overall health are given priority.
- Recommendations that help with more of their current or past non-optimal lab results are ranked higher.
- Recommendations that align with more of their completed high-risk lifestyle assessments are given higher priority.
Prioritized Recommendations
Their top 3 recommendations for overall health are highlighted for good reason. They may seem straightforward because they're backed by extensive research and proven to be highly effective. Trust us, what works, really works!

Rest assured, if your top 3 recommendations seem obvious to you, it's a sign you're already on the right track! But don't fret—we've got a wealth of innovative ideas to enhance your health journey. With our suite of helpful tools, you can effortlessly tailor your recommendations and concentrate on areas where you're keen to see improvement.
First, let's take a look at Biohacker Mode — what is it exactly?

Biohacker mode provides access to more in-depth information on our platform. It is turned off by default, to present only the most impactful data and recommendations. Turn it on if you wish to explore their risks in popular biohacking areas (e.g. single genes, amino acids, neurotransmitters, etc.) along with recommendations that we haven't found clinical trials for.
You'll also see an option to include recommendations that do not have clinical trials to back them up:

Filtering your Recommendations by Type
One way to filter their recommendations is to select the type of recommendation you want to see. Use the Supplement, Dietary, and Lifestyle filters to see only that type of recommendation:

If you're looking for even more specific recommendations, based on your preferred data, we recommend our Advanced Filter feature:

Here, you'll have the option to filter the recommendations by filter by category, topic, or labs. You can also use the Quick Filter options to see recommendations that relate to your Symptoms, Conditions & Goals, or your Non-Optimal Labs
In our example below, you will see the recommendations that relate to Gut Health, Low Mood, and any Non-Optimal Labs that are entered:

Select Apply Filters, and the Recommendations will be optimized according to your preferences!
Keep the momentum going—delve deeper into the list to unearth even more personalized recommendations! You can take it a step further by selecting multiple choices on either filter to refine your results and tailor them precisely to your needs. For even more targeted outcomes, we suggest combining these filters to unlock a whole new level of specificity in your recommendations.
The Search
If the filters aren't enough to get the recommendations you’re looking for, hop on the search. You can use keywords describing a recommendation itself, a condition, or a lab result. We'll show you where that recommendation falls on your prioritized list.

Understanding your Recommendations
Once you've received the tailored list of recommendations, there's more to explore!
Click on each recommendation to reveal a detailed breakdown of the specific lab markers and genetic predispositions it addresses. These risks are conveniently prioritized based on their severity.
To gain a comprehensive understanding, select "Show all DNA predispositions" to view the full list of risks targeted by the recommendations.

To learn how a recommendation addresses a lab marker or genetic predisposition, simply click on it.
- This action opens a modal window showcasing the recommendation's impact score, evidence score, and a detailed explanation.

Recommendations are a curated, prioritized list of actionable interventions built specifically for each client. They combine genetic predispositions, uploaded lab results, intake forms, and lifestyle assessments into one place—so instead of reviewing multiple reports separately, you can start with a clear, data-driven action list right away.
What data is used to generate my client’s recommendations?
By default, recommendations are built from your client’s genetic data. If you’ve also added lab results, intake forms, or lifestyle assessments, those inputs are included as well. The more complete the client profile, the more precise and clinically relevant the recommendations become.
How is the recommendation ranking determined?
Each recommendation is ranked based on how many relevant factors it addresses, such as:
- Genetic predispositions
- Suboptimal lab markers (if available)
- Reported symptoms, conditions, and health goals
- Lifestyle risk factors
Higher-ranked recommendations typically impact multiple areas at once.
Where can I find the science and implementation details?
Clicking into a recommendation opens a detailed view with:
- Supporting scientific studies
- Practical tips and warnings
- Standard dosing, frequency, and duration (when applicable)
- Potential side effects and interactions
- DNA, lifestyle, and lab components
You can also open the full recommendation page for an even deeper breakdown, including sub-recommendations and variations.
Can I filter recommendations by type (e.g., supplements only)?
Yes. Basic filters allow you to show only specific recommendation types, such as:
- Supplements
- Lifestyle interventions
- Dietary recommendations
This helps you focus on the types of interventions you prefer to prioritize with a client.
How do Advanced Filters help personalize recommendations?
Advanced Filters let you narrow recommendations based on what you want to work on first, including:
- Health categories (e.g., gut health, mental health)
- Specific topics (e.g., low mood, pain, allergies)
- Non-optimal labs
- Symptoms, conditions, or health goals
You can use these filters individually or combine them to refine your focus.
Can I prioritize current issues instead of genetic predispositions?
Yes. If you want to address immediate concerns first, you can filter recommendations by:
- Suboptimal lab results
- Specific lab markers
- Reported symptoms or conditions
This shifts the recommendations toward your client’s current health status rather than long-term predispositions.
What is Biohacker Mode, and when should I use it?
Biohacker Mode unlocks more experimental topics, such as individual genes, neurotransmitters, and emerging pathways. It’s best suited for advanced practitioners or performance-focused clients who want deeper, exploratory insights.
By default, this mode is turned off to keep recommendations clinically conservative.
What does “Include items without clinical trials” mean?
When Biohacker Mode is enabled, you’ll see an additional option to include recommendations supported by:
- Animal studies
- In-vitro research
- Anecdotal or early-stage evidence
You can turn this on or off independently, depending on how evidence-strict you want your recommendations to be.
Are recommendations always based on human clinical studies?
Yes—when Biohacker Mode is off, all recommendations are based on human clinical research. Turning Biohacker Mode off automatically disables non-clinical evidence.
What’s the best way to use Recommendations with clients?
A common workflow is:
- Start with the default ranked list
- Use filters to align with your session focus
- Review 2–5 high-impact recommendations together
- Add selected items to the client’s Action Plan
This keeps sessions focused, personalized, and easy for clients to follow.
