It's Hot Outside. Should I Send My Sample In?

It is recommended to keep your sample away from extremely hot temperatures, even though the stability of samples and the accuracy of most tests done are not significantly affected. Liquid samples (saliva and blood) should be stored in the freezer, and dried samples (dried blood or dried urine) should be kept at room temperature until mailed to the lab.
